Privacy Policy

1. Native app overview

TheOneConvert is designed around on-device article conversion and local storage. The native app does not require an account, does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not use a developer-operated external conversion or AI service.

2. Data stored on device

Saved articles, folders, article-library favorites, notebook notes, export preferences, reader preferences, and other app settings are stored locally so the library can support offline reading and export.

3. Optional iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, the saved library is synced through your own Apple ID so it can appear on your other devices. This is optional and can be disabled in the app. Incoming 2.0 Watch Favorites and History are separate local lists and are not included in optional library iCloud sync.

4. Coming in 2.0: Apple Intelligence summaries

On supported devices, the 2.0 candidate can summarize reader text on-device through Apple's system Foundation Models framework. The capability appears only when it is supported, enabled, and ready. Reader text is not sent to a developer-operated AI service, and a summary is stored only when you explicitly save it to the notebook.

5. Coming in 2.0: Watch Favorites, History, and Standard data

Watch starts without a bundled or remembered website. In Standard mode, the app keeps local, versioned Favorites and up to 500 normalized recent completed visits in History. Favorites can include a page URL and title. History can also include the last visit date and visit count.

Favorites and History can each be opened and managed with category-scoped single, selected, and delete-all actions; Favorites can also be renamed. Removing one category does not remove the other category or Standard website data.

Standard browsing uses WebKit's persistent website data store, so websites may keep cookies, caches, and local storage. Clear Website Data removes that Standard website data separately from Favorites and History.

6. Coming in 2.0: Incognito boundaries

Incognito uses a separate non-persistent WebKit data store. Incognito visits are not added to History, and its cookies, caches, local storage, and WebView session are discarded when Incognito ends. Incognito does not make you anonymous to websites, network operators, or internet providers.

If you explicitly add a Favorite while Incognito is active, that page URL and title are intentionally stored in local Favorites until you remove them. The visit and Incognito website data are still discarded.

7. Coming in 2.0: website media and native playback

Watch opens video websites in WebKit, where the website retains discovery, session, cookies, sign-in, and provider controls. Those sites receive normal network requests and may use their own analytics, advertising, accounts, or privacy practices.

When the active page exposes an eligible direct HTTP(S) HLS or MP4 URL, TheOneConvert may pass that URL in memory to Apple's native player. The direct media URL is not persisted. TheOneConvert does not download, proxy, convert, save, import, or add website video to the article library. Unsupported, cookie-bound, DRM-protected, and hidden sources remain in the website player.

8. Try-online demo processing

The online demo is separate from the native app. When you submit a public HTTPS article URL, the site server fetches the page, converts readable content, and returns the result to your browser. The demo is intended not to keep a saved conversion history for you.

9. Website analytics and infrastructure

The website may use Vercel Analytics for website-level traffic and release-site measurement. Hosting infrastructure may also process ordinary network metadata such as IP address, request headers, and runtime logs to deliver responses, debug failures, and protect service availability. These website practices do not describe the native app.

10. Third-party services and source sites

Optional iCloud sync depends on Apple's iCloud services. The online demo connects to the public article URL you ask it to process. The incoming Watch workspace connects directly to the website you choose, whose own terms and privacy practices apply.

11. Release status and changes

This policy may be updated when app or site behavior changes. Candidate behavior is labeled as incoming until release. Material privacy changes should be reflected here before or when an updated version becomes public. See release notes for the current live-versus-preview boundary.
